Violence & Gore

  • Bo uses her crook to attack other toys.
  • Two plush toys comically attack an old woman during a dream-sequence. This is played for laughs.
  • In a rumble, Bo loses one arm, although later we know that happens to her frequently and it is duct taped back on easily
  • A stuffed toy is torn in half by a cat. We see the aftermath, but it is nothing too bad.

Profanity

  • Margaret takes a bath and has a glass of wine on the side of the tub. It doesn't show her drink it.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Ventriloquist dummies are quite intimidating.
  • Some jump scares and action scenes. Nothing intense and is often meant for fun.
  • The ventriloquist dummy jump scares can be very frightening to young children.
  • It's dark and scary in some scenes.
  • Benson the puppet is very dominant and aggressive.
  • The ending is very emotional, going on par with the ending of the third film. Overall, this film is the second darkest entry in the "Toy Story" franchise, due to it dealing with mature themes including abandonment, rejection, despair, attempted suicide, loneliness, organ theft, organ transplant and existential crisis, as well as the aforementioned ending and the perilous situations.

Violence & Gore

  • A cat swallows a toy, but it throws it back up soon after.
  • Two plush toys grow huge, shooting lasers from their eyes and breathing fire, but this is revealed to be a 'dream'.

Profanity

  • Woody says "oh chutes and ladders" when Forky gets into the trash can after they return from Bonnie's first day of kindergarten.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A cat swallows a toy, but it throws it back up soon after.
  • A toy wants Woody's voice-box and attempts to take it by force on numerous occasions.
  • Two plush toys (played by famous comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, known as the comedy duo "Key & Peele") grow huge, shooting lasers from their eyes and breathing fire, but this is soon revealed to be a dream. This can be a little scary for some younger viewers.
  • Sad separation between two toys in the opening scene
  • Some viewers may find it quite sad when Woody gives up his voice box.
  • One of the characters, Forky, is suicidal, due to his constant attempts of trying to put himself in the trash to die, all of them failing. While this is played for laughs, the context maybe upsetting for some.
